.about me
Nicolò Vese (1996) is an eclectic composer and orchestrator who has worked for theatre, films, videogames and concert music. He starts with a jazz-based education through his main instrument, the bass guitar, studying with lots of professionals in the field (e.g. Federico Malaman), in Turin and Milan. At the age of 20 he falls in love with orchestral music and decides to study in depth orchestration, counterpoint and classical composition which mixes with his modern harmony studies.
His curiosity then leads him to mix his profession as a composer with videogames and films, attending a Master in Rome at Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia (110L) and rapidly begins to work for many projects: musicals, videogames (many indie games and a soundtrack for a 34Big Things TBA game), lunapark music (Mirabilandia) and films. In the meantime he is also active as a contemporary composer, having two symphonic compositions commissioned and played by the Symphonic Orchestra of Sanremo in 2023.
While working in all these fields, he is attending a Master in contemporary composition and orchestra conducting with Andrea Portera and Valentina Peleggi at Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.
He has also worked as Interactive music system designer, using all the main Middlewares (Fmod and Wwise) to create a smooth music logic in the videogames he worked on. For that, he is also currently teacher of composition and interactive music techniques in Event Horizon School, in Turin.
He is also co-founder of the progressive metal band Asymmetric Universe. With them, he toured all Europe in 2023 and signed with the label “Inside Out” in 2024.
His eclectic background allows him to handle different projects: from orchestral music to minimalism, from big band jazz to modern metal music, and he is always looking for new interesting projects to translate into sound.
